1st Hour Final 1st hour took their Fall Final!
Thank you for a WONDERFUL semester! We covered SO much theatre! Have a relaxing and fantastic winter break! Be ready to jump into to some One Acts and more fun in Theatre I! Performance Final: Day 2 Students completed their final performances. We reviewed for the written final for next week.
The WRITTEN FINAL will be: 1st Hour: December 18th 9:00-10:30 2nd Hour: December 20th 9:00-10:30 Performance Final: Day 1 Students performed their final performance pieces.
Final Performance Rehearsal Students rehearsed for their performance final. Character Interviews were due at the end of class.
*Performances will be Tuesday (12/12) & Thursday (12/14) Final Performance Intro Students were given a rubric for their final performance. Below is the Rubric in which students will choose which performance they wish to complete. All students will complete the character interview for 25 points. Selections are to by made and told to Mr. C by the end of class. *Performances will be Tuesday (12/12) & Thursday (12/14)
Shakespeare!Today we reviewed the life of William Shakespeare and learned his rhyming scheme "iambic pentameter". Students translated the balcony scene of Romeo and Juliet and performed them for the class.
Character Objective We welcomed each other back from break by playing some favorite warm up excercises and learning some new. We opened with our Energy Ball, Swoosh GaGong, Zip Zap Zop, Ha!, and Actor's Contract. We then learned about Character Objective and split into duo's to present a scene using given character objectives. We ended class with a new improv game "Split Curtain".
Make Up Day/A Knight's Tale Students were allowed to complete and turn in missing assignments. Those who were caught up enjoyed the film " A Knight's Tale" to complete our unit over Medieval Theatre.
