Students are working to create masks for the Library's Living Chess game. The winning design features Marvel vs. DC Comics, with members of the Avengers and the Justice League as each chess piece. The living chess match is scheduled for May 2 in the library.
After seeing the show, please respond in writing per the following assignment. 
Students are assisting Mrs. Sone in preparing for Romeo & Juliet in a few weeks. We have been making masks, jewelry, and boots. We will also be dying gloves for the sword fighters.
Over the next several class periods, students will be reading and analyzing the play "The Importance of Being Earnest" by Oscar Wilde. Students will complete play and character analysis, appropriate period research, and costume designs for three of the characters. Please see the assignment document below.
If you were unable to see our FHS production of Crimes of the Heart last week, here is your alternate assignment. You will watch the video version of the stage production below and write a critique, following the same expectations as the original assignment.
On our journey to creating full costume renderings, we are focusing on adding details to the clothes in our drawings. Please see the assignment documents and helpful videos below.
Students are working on a set of six figure drawings in various views. We are focusing on the human form with these drawings. Next week, we will tackle adding clothing.
Our next small steps toward drawing the complete human figure is to learn how the view of objects changes with perspective. We used the following two videos to guide our drawing. Students need to complete the drawing "3 Boxes in Perspective". We will continue working on "Human Stick Figure in Perspective" next class period. We are on a journey toward drawing complete costume renderings, and we must begin with drawing the human body. We will be spending several class days building our skills before completing a set of six drawings in various poses. Please see the video below that we worked with in class Tuesday, January 10. |
