Last week students observed and then applied Hyper Feminine Character makeup (aka Drag).
This week we are learning Gross & Gory techniques and will create an Injury Victim Character in class Thursday. On Thursday, February 18, students began the digital Makeup Morgue project. These will be due at the end of the semester, to allow students to include as many pictures of their class work as possible. See the assignment below. Thursday, February 11, Sone will demonstrate how to use the Nose and Scar Wax to create three-dimensional features on the face. Students will be challenged to design a character makeup utilizing nose and scar wax to be applied during the next class period. The notes for Evil Old Age Character are in the same PowerPoint as the Happy Old Age Character below. In class today, Sone demonstrated creating a happy old character on a student volunteer. The notes for the demonstration are attached below. Below you will find the notes for the demonstrations of "Myself Only More-so" and "Myself Only Older" makeups. Students will observe and take notes on the demonstration of the "Myself Only Older" makeup. Everyone will get their first attempt at aging their own face next Tuesday.
Students applied our first stage makeup: Myself Only More-so!
Today, Mrs. Sone demonstrated the basic "Myself Only More-so" makeup on a student volunteer. If you missed the demonstration, the notes are attached below and there is a video on the general Theatrical Makeup page. Students will apply this style of makeup during our next class, Wednesday, January 20. Today in class, we went through our first lesson in the notebook: There is nothing wrong with my face! The terms for the "fill in the blanks" are attached below. We also went through the Lovely Bones exercise, during which we explore our facial structure and maybe learn a couple new things about our unique faces. |
