On Tuesday, we spent the entire period learning and practicing warm-up exercises. A good warm-up routine should start with relaxation and focusing, move through stretching the body and the face, warming up the vocal instrument and finishing with an energizing activity. We did it all, and then some! I needed a nap by the time we were through.
Thursday in class, students will work in groups to create their own 2-3 minute warm-up routine. They will select elements from our master lesson and add exercises of their own, if they wish; they will rehearse and present the routine as a group.
