Playwright Project Rehearsal 2Students began rehearsing their playwright scenes.
Playwright Project Sign-up/Rehearsal 1Students signed up for their presentation days and received their graded rubric for corrections needed on their playwright slide show. Some students began rehearsing.

Completed playwright handout printed for entire class. 3. Scene Selection from playwright selected and printed for cast and Mr. C. *Students who complete early may begin rehearsing their scenes. The Tin Woman Paper Due/Review/Playwright Research Day 3The Tin Woman paper is due at the beginning of class. We discussed the production and it's elements as they related to Aristotle 6 Elements of Drama. Students then continued working on their Playwright Presentation. HomeworkDue at the end of NEXT CLASS:

Playwright Research Day 1Groups began researching their playwright. Each group shared their Google Slide with Mr. Cooperescue. Slide should be tittled (Class Period, Playwright Name, Group Members)

Students are required to attend one of the following performances of The Tin Woman:
April 10th- Free Performance! 5:00pm April 11th-13th at 7:00pm April 14th at 2:00pm. Student Rush Tickets are available 1 hour prior to performances for $5 cash. DUE Thursday April 18th AT THE BEGINNING OF CLASS (10% OFF EACH CLASS PERIOD TURNED IN LATE) Write a 2 page paper reviewing FHS's The Tin Woman using Aristotle's Elements of Drama. The paper should have the following: Introduction Paragraph- 5 points Though/Theme-5 points Plot (Brief Summary)-5 points Character (Choose 2 actors to discuss grows and glows for 5 points each)- 10 points Music-5 points Language- 5 points Spectacle (Set, Lighting, Costume/Makeup, Props, Sounds/Special Effects-2 points each)-10 points Closing Paragraph-5 points Points will be deducted if following criteria is not followed: Times New Roman Font Double Spaced 12 Point Font Checked for spelling & grammar Playwright Project Intro/Notebook CheckToday, we had a notebook check and discussed the requirements for the Playwrighting Project: In groups of 2-3, select a famous playwright from the given list and create a presentation of their life. Groups will use Google Slides and share with Mr. Cooperescue. ([email protected]) Groups will also present a scene from one of their playwrights’ well-known works. *If you are absent 3+ times, you will be removed from your group and must present a playwright/scene on your own.
