Theatre Term Sketches Part IStudent groups performed their Theatre Term Sketches for class. As audience members, we wrote down the theatre terms we heard and circled the terms we did not know. After each performance we discussed the given terms. At the end of class, we played the Theatre Term Seek & Find Game. Homework: Make sure to have a notebook for next class! We will begin learning Greece: The History of Theatre!

Shakespeare In LoveStudents attended the Theatre Squared Production of Shakespeare in Love. We arrived back on campus during this class and returned to class with 45 minutes left. We took this time to discuss the play that we attended.
Theatre Term Sketch RehearsalBell Ringer: Find 5 "cast mates" and write down their dream role next to their name on your "Crazy Cooperescue's Name Game Sheet" that you have created. Today in class, we warmed up and reviewed the theatre game, Koonjah! We were then split into small groups and given 9-11 theatre terms. The task is to create a 3-5 minutes scene incorporating the given words and definitions that were assigned to you. The groups will have 10 minutes next class to rehearse and polish and will present their scene to their classmates (castmates). Parts of a Whole Today we began rehearsal with finding 5 peers' favorite tv show, warmed up, danced to Ed Sheeran and completed creating our ensemble with Parts of a Whole and Storytelling. We ended rehearsal with the theatre game: Koonjah
Creating an EnsembleToday in class, we reviewed our Name Game by creating a list of everyone's Theatre names. Bell Ringer: Find someone with the same birthday month or horoscope. We warmed up, played Swoosh Ga Gong, and learned about becoming an Ensemble through Theatre Exercises!
