Theatre Term Sketches Part I
Student groups performed their Theatre Term Sketches for class. As audience members, we wrote down the theatre terms we heard and circled the terms we did not know. After each performance we discussed the given terms. At the end of class, we played the Theatre Term Seek & Find Game.
Make sure to have a notebook for next class! We will begin learning Greece: The History of Theatre!
Shakespeare In Love
Students attended the Theatre Squared Production of Shakespeare in Love. We arrived back on campus during this class and returned to class with 45 minutes left. We took this time to discuss the play that we attended.
Theatre Term Sketch Rehearsal
Bell Ringer: Find 5 "cast mates" and write down their dream role next to their name on your "Crazy Cooperescue's Name Game Sheet" that you have created.
Today in class, we warmed up and reviewed the theatre game, Koonjah! We were then split into small groups and given 9-11 theatre terms. The task is to create a 3-5 minutes scene incorporating the given words and definitions that were assigned to you. The groups will have 10 minutes next class to rehearse and polish and will present their scene to their classmates (castmates).
Meet in front of PAC on Tuesday at 9:25am for Bus to Theatre Squared!
